The making of "Red Riding Hood"

On Sunday Lucy was dressing up and instantly came upon the plan for a movie- she told me to sew her a red hood. Lucy put on a beautiful dress with puffy sleeves, velvet bodice and plenty of skirt. She made her cheeks rosy and her transformation was complete. I charged up the battery on the video camera and made the red hood from crushed velvet. Lucy had written her own version of Red Riding Hood the previous week so we already had a script. Our dog Chilli was cast as wolf, I played Red Riding Hood's mum, Granma played Granny, and Storm the dog played the wolf's mother. It's a short film running for only a few minutes and was plenty of fun to make.
lucy makes having fun so easy.

Back to art and wellbeing I've created my own Mandala today. This week I've been learning some more about relaxation and meditation and I was inspired to create my own mandala and hopefully I will make more in the future. I'd like to make mandalas for people to colour in because I've learnt that the colouring of a Mandala can be a meditation in itself. Peace and Love Posted by Picasa
